Template:ArtP/doc

This template displays an artwork image for a Pokémon, and clicking that image will go to the Pokémon's species page.

The image displayed will be from this archives category: Category:Ken Sugimori Pokémon artwork.

Template fields

field 1 (natdex number) - The Pokémon's National Pokédex number. For the "main" image (the header one used on the Pokémon's species page), use a 4-digit format. For other (usually older) images, use a 3-digit format.
field 2 (Pokémon name) - The name of the Pokémon, to allow linking to its species page.
- Some name inputs will be automatically converted to be filename-friendly: "Nidoran♀" and "Nidoran♂" become "Nidoran", and Mime Jr. becomes "Mime Jr".
form (optional) - For alternate forms, append a signifier right after the name, with a -. For example, 0028Sandslash-Alola for Alolan Sandslash.
- For artwork that is not the "main" one, append an underscore (after the form, if it has one), and then a game abbreviation. For example, 026Raichu_RG.png for Raichu from Red and Green, or 025Pikachu_BDSP.png for Pikachu from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
- If unsure, check this archive category for all valid file names: Category:Ken Sugimori Pokémon artwork. File names are usually in the format (natdex)(name)(form)(game).png.
link (optional) - Override for the page linked when clicking the image.
alt (optional) - Text to be displayed when hovering over the image. For example: inputting "M02" on an image of Articuno will make the hover text say "Articuno (M02)". However, the link will still go to Articuno's species page.
size - The display size of the image. Defaults to 70px.
