Release information

This card was included in the Destined Rivals expansion, first released in the Japanese Glory of the Rocket Gang expansion. In the United States, customers who spent $15 on TCG products at Best Buy stores starting May 30, 2025 received a Cosmos Holofoil variant of this card bearing the Destined Rivals expansion logo in the bottom left corner of the artwork. A Cosmos Holofoil variant without any logos was later made available in the Enhanced Two Pack Blister: Team Rocket's Articuno, Team Rocket's Zapdos & Team Rocket's Tyranitar from October 10, 2025.

In Japan, this card is reprinted in the MEGA Dream ex subset, with two Mirror Holofoil variants featuring either a Water Energy symbol or the Team Rocket logo.

Team Rocket captures an Articuno in the Pokémon Adventures manga. Team Rocket Executive Petrel is featured on the card. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.
