Talk:Scizor/Cherrim (TCG)
I'm not sure what the problem with my edit is, the reason I threw out Sunflora and Uxie are quite obvious - PokePowers hinder Pound Down, and as someone who's been running Scizor as his main deck style for near on 2 years now, I can safely say that a lot of the time the opponent has too much HP for Accelerate to pick off, and I need the extra power Pound Down gives. I threw in a lot more searching trainers like Quick Ball to compensate, and I considered having things like Felicity + Night Maintenance to keep the draw power up. You can keep 1 Uxie in for emergencies, but players used to other decks will be tempted to play it as soon as necessary, which is bad, because Scizor relies on getting as many Cherrims into play as possible. I also removed Cloudy Sky since having 4 Sunny Day is most beneficial - you want to be dealing as much damage as possible with Accelerate or Pound Down, survivability isn't a worry when you have 60-70 coming off CC and preventing damage the next turn. Having a strong Pound Down is always a good choice in case they drop something large like Dialga G Lv. X or Tangrowth Lv. X (and I've seen that happen). --Zystral 20:02, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- Most of your edit was fine, but there were a couple things that Nate apparently found problematic. He probably shouldn't have reverted the whole thing, but he doesn't really have the knowledge about the subject matter to tell what was right and what was wrong. Hence, don't blame him. No worries, though, since I'm taking care of correcting the numerous factual mistakes in the article. You're entirely correct that the Uxie and Sunflora lines should be removed and that more Trainers ought to be included, by the way. So yeah. In the future, if you want to give an archetype article a major overhaul, it's usually good to check with me and let me know what you plan on doing. I generally won't have a problem with it, but the archetypes are sort of my pet project, and admins who are aware of that are leery of rewrites to the archetypes by people with few credentials. Of course, making changes here and there are always fine; no need to ask about those. :] --P o L i 19:03, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
