One Island vs. Knot Island

Where did we get the idea that One, Two, Three Island refer to the towns, while Knot, Boon, Kin etc. refer to the entire island areas? No official media confirms that. I'd say that those names are completely interchangeable. --Maxim (talk) 13:55, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
