Talk:Heliolisk (Pokémon)
Photosynthesis
I admit I mistakenly missed the bit about photosynthesis on the spotted salamander's Wikipedia article at first, but I still don't think it should be considered part of Heliolisk's origin. The spotted salamander doesn't even directly photosynthesize. It has a symbiotic relationship in a type of alga, which uses photosynthesis, but it doesn't give the energy from it to the salamander, only oxygen, while Heliolisk directly gets energy from the sun. Maybe. The Pokédex doesn't even mention the sun. In fact, two of Heliolisk's abilities make it take damage from the sun. Why are we even saying Heliolisk can do anything like photosynthesis? Its only other relation to the sun is its sort of sun-like frills. Also, the symbiosis only happens with spotted salamander eggs, not the adult stage, so that's a problem as well. -- EnosShayremtalk 23:15, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
