Name Origin

I understand that his name comes from "gherkin" (which fits with his name in other languages), but is it possible that the spelling in particular also draws from "guru" (as in his role as the Mega Evolution guru)? Just a thought. --Andy^P_K^M_N (talk) 18:02, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
