Lapras

I don't think I've ever seen this Lapras, and have been here many times across 3 saves in each version. Recently I went here after the postgame story, not having been there before on that save, and did not see it. Is it permanently missable? I know I've been immediately after getting the Rotom Bike and don't believe it was there then either.Kyogre386 (talk) 16:17, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

According to this post on the forums, it appears on Wednesdays during the daytime. Are you able to check whether that is the case?
It was added to this page because it both exists within the game data and is listed as being present at this location in the guidebook. I'm unsure about whether the stated requirement of the Dark Badge is actually the case however. --SnorlaxMonster 03:35, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
I was able to find it at the very northern end of the lake directly south of the Trainer Tips sign early Wednesday morning (before 2 AM). I encountered it and then saved, however I was subsequently unable to find it on any of my other saves, 2 of which I am near certain I had never even visited the lake before. I have a physical copy of each game and 3 users with a save after catching Zacian/Zamazenta for each. Not sure if not being able to find it on the other saves is due to everything being on the same Switch, if the day/time Lapras shows up is different for each save, or something else. I recently got the Dark badge 3 days ago and had not seen the Lapras before then. I just checked (Thursday 3 PM PST) and it was there below the Trainer Tips sign. The stated requirement might be correct. Sylphoid (talk) 22:13, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
I've confirmed by repeated testing that the Lapras, unlike every other wanderer in the game, appears sporadically rather than consistently (it seems to appear any day/time, the connection seems to be a mistake based on it not appearing consistently). If you see it, then either enter Wedgehurst, Professor Magnolia's house, or fly away, when you come back it may be gone. This may also cause it to reappear. My guess is that the appearance rate is around 10%, almost certainly no greater than 20% or less than 5%. Testing on the save where I had encountered it before, I failed to find it after 50 repeated attempts of flying to Professor Magnolia's house and checking the lake again, the longest streak I had any time on a game where I had not yet encountered it was less than 25, so it is likely that it does not respawn once encountered. I have no saves prior to getting the Dark Badge to test, but now that we know the appearances are sporadic it is unlikely to be a factor. Kyogre386 (talk) 21:33, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Rare Candy

The Rare Candy that spawns on the island in the lake does not reappear daily. There was a previous occasion where it hadn't appeared in two consecutive days. Is it possible that it's respawn rate is 33%, similar to the evo stones in Lake of Outrage? Sylphoid (talk) 20:02, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
