A more lore relevant question, should we add Trivia explaining the concept of the red thread that connects people who are destined to meet as lovers in east asian mythology?

A more mechanically relevant question, If a Pokemon that isn't holding a Destiny Knot becomes infatuated, then gains a Destiny Knot through means like Switcheroo or Thief, will the pokemon still "reflect" the infatuation onto its opponent? Juan-o-licious (talk) 04:35, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

Yes, I think it would be worth having a trivia entry explaining the connection to the red thread of fate in more detail. That Wikipedia article is currently linked in the translation of the article's Japanese name, but I think an expansion in prose would be beneficial.

In regards to your second question, I would assume that it only triggers when the Pokémon becomes infatuated. However, that's a good topic for an {{incomplete}} template to make sure. SnorlaxMonster 11:00, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
