I'm not very familiar with the Shipping department, but most of these hints look more like good friends to me. Like the one that Ash and Brock grasp hands before Brock is introduced to May & Max, seems more like good friends who haven't seen each other in a while, than a secret romance. Contrary evidence

Shippings really don't take into account whether characters are gay or straight. People ship whoever they want, and they will interpret any scene however they want. We just try our best to be objective about it. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:56, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
