relation to gigaton hammer

should this be listed as a variation of gigaton hammer? if not, there should at least be a category for "moves that can't be used twice in a row", since it's a very distinct mechanic and functions identically between these two moves. - unsigned comment from Lily Cove (talk • contribs)

Encore effect

I made the same post on the Gigaton Hammer discussion.

In Pokémon showdown if Encore is used after Blood Moon but on the same turn, the user of Blood Moon will struggle on the next turn. If Encore is used on the next turn before the user of Blood Moon moves, the user of Blood Moon will be able to use it a second time and then struggle on subsequent turns. I went to report it as a bug but was assured that it was acting as intended. Someone should double check this in the actual game and if that's how it works this page, and the Gigaton Hammer page should be updated for accuracy. Raparent (talk) 00:43, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
