GTS trades
I tried accessing this area by trading up to three Pokémon over the GTS (a Larvitar from Mexico, and a Snubbull and Growlithe from the US), and the area won't show up on the route listings. Does it require the National Pokédex to unlock, or is there some kind of additional requisites you need to do? —オッズ @ 03:24, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- Did you give those or receive those? tc²₆tc26 03:55, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- I got a Japanese Kabutops, which put the Japanese entry into my Pokédex. I think as long as that happens (excluding the French Pikachu you can get from Lt. Surge), the Route will open (there is no notification you unlocked it, however). Yurtablemoron 9 May 2010 00:32:33 UTC
Unobtainable?
My initial thoughts are that this course is currently impossible to obtain if one does not already have it on the Pokewalker. There is no wonder card for the route (to my recollection), and the GTS no longer functions for the DS or its games. Unless save file editing makes it possible to have the route, or there is some other way to trick the game into unlocking it, this course is currently unobtainable on new game saves.
Should this be mentioned on the page itself then? Or at the very least, in the unlocking method, change it to the past tense and add a line that it is no longer possible to acquire.Hobbs678 (talk) 21:03, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- Another thought: Can trading a foreign pokemon via local wireless unlock the course?Hobbs678 (talk) 21:03, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- You could most likely get it through Action Replay. --NOBODY (talk) 22:10, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, action replay is currently the only option for getting this course. Just attempted to trade myself a Japanese Pokemon I had on Pearl to my SoulSIlver but the course still would not unlock. ----SegeantHorsey (talk) 08:10, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
