Removal of the Castelia City
It's extremely clear that since the Episode is now "Fishing Connoisseur Cilan appears" because they removed the fact that it takes place in Castelia. Since BW039 aired a preview for this...should this be considered the new episode 39? Ataro 01:55, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
We should not since the events in the episode lead up to event in episode 27--Ovidkid 01:59, 23 June 2011 (UTC).
- That's not exactly the case, since Bianca leaves the group at the end of the episode instead of continuing to travel with them. Also, the ending song is the second one, which didn't change until episode 029. If they wanted this to remain as episode 026 they wouldn't have removed the Castelia City references or changed the ending and would have noted it, like I am sure they will when episodes 023 and 024 finally air. - I agree that they changed the ending scenes but we can't ignore the fact that the gang was surprised to know that James has a Yamask. Along with that, in the initial scenes, they checked where's the next Gym which absolutely sounded like they've never heard of Nimbasa before and the design of the buildings highly resembled to Castelia City's structure. As far as opening and ending songs are concerned, it's not a significant proof. So, we can't just pretend that it's BW039. Staff is discussing this issue since few days, we will let you know after we come to a conclusion. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 14:21, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, none of them aside from Bianca seem surprised by Yamask's appearance. Bianca asks what it is and Ash replies that it was a Yamask, before scanning it with his Pokédex. The only thing to note about that is Ash scans the Yamask after having encountered this one and another before. Having said that, I'm sure you guys will take what you feel is noteworthy into consideration and make a good choice. Gohan5 14:49, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Basculin was the theme of professor Oak Live Caster showing scenes of this episode five episodes before this despite this episode being its debutRobin Maximo (talk) 03:26, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
