Sitrus Berry Interaction

If a Pokémon with this ability is holding a sitrus berry, what will happen when it is knocked below 50% hp? Does the sitrus berry activate before or after the ability would? If the berry activates before and heals it above 50%, does the ability still activate or not? I feel like I remember sitrus berry activating part of the way through a multistrike move which means it would activate before the ability in that scenario and implies that it would also activate before the ability in other scenarios. However, the sitrus berry page doesn't seem to specify any particular multistrike interaction, so I don't know if I am remembering correctly. I also wonder if there are other interactions that could be relevant. The only other effects I can think of are Zen Mode and Defeatist and those are obviously irrelevant since you can only have one ability at a time (except for As One which is basically one ability pretending to be two).
