The hiding Alolan Meowth

The first of its locations is under a truck. This certainly seems like it could be an allusion to the "Mew under the truck" rumours. However, I am not sure if this is too feasibly a coincidence or not, so I would like to hear someone else's thoughts before adding this to the page. One argument for it is that there have been apparent allusions to that specific rumour before (the lava cookie or revive in the two sets of Kanto remakes), one argument against it is that its second location (between two trees) does not seem to even vaguely reference anything in particular. Animals, especially cats, hiding under parked cars/trucks is common enough that I'd hesitate to call it a clear reference, personally. I think the key difference to the references in FRLG/LGPE is that in those cases, both easter eggs are specifically tied to the rumored truck associated with Mew.
