Release information

This card was included in the Diamond & Pearl expansion with artwork by Ken Sugimori, first released in the Japanese Space-Time Creation expansion. It was later included in the Infernape Half Deck in the Japanese Entry Pack. A Mirror Reverse Holofoil print was available as one of four cards in the Diamond & Pearl Two Pack Blisters. A special variant was released as a participation prize for the 2007-2008 City Championships, featuring the event logo. A gold foil stamped "Staff" version was also given to those overseeing the event. A Cosmos Holofoil DP-P Promotional print was available in Japan as part of the Trade Please DP event held at participating store chains from November 4, 2007 for as long as stocks lasted. Visitors could trade any 1 Pokémon card (including International cards and Japanese cards with a classic reverse) with attendants for 1 of 5 promotional cards at random. Trainer cards and Energy cards were specifically excluded from the trade.

This card was reprinted as one of the DP Black Star Promos with different artwork by Kagemaru Himeno. The card was released in the Diamond & Pearl Trainer's Challenge Set and available as one of several cards in the various iterations of DP Value Pack 2 released outside North America. The Japanese version was released as part of a Meiji Chocolate promotion in February 2007. Another Mirror Reverse Holofoil variant of the Diamond & Pearl print with a "Diamond & Pearl" stamp was later released as part of a Burger King promotion in July 2008.
