Release information

The English version of this card was initially distributed at the Nintendo World Store Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness launch event in New York on October 2, 2005. The card was given to anyone who played the demo of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness at the event, between 2 pm and 6 pm. It was then distributed as part of the Pokémon 10th Anniversary celebration at Space Center Houston on March 25, 2006, followed by a rather limited release to attendants of the Nintendo pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) press conference on May 9, 2006. It was later awarded as a prize to the five finalists of the Pikachu freeze-dance contest at the Nintendo World Store Pokémon Platinum launch event on March 21, 2009.

In Japan, this card was available as an insert with the Summer 2005 Special Edition copies of Pokémon Scoop, distributed to visitors at each Pokémon Festa 2005 venue, held at several locations across Japan between July 17 and August 21, 2005.

  • This card was only released as a Jumbo card and is therefore not legal to use in tournaments or official events.
  • This card lists the logo from Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness instead of an illustrator.
  • In addition to the regular copyright information on the bottom of the card, this card also has "Developed by Genius Sonority Inc."
  • This card also shares the highest attack damage of any printed card with several other Jumbo promotional cards. The highest base attack damage on any tournament legal card remains 300.
