Release information

This card was included in the Sword & Shield expansion, first released in the Japanese Sword expansion. A SWSH Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Sword & Shield with new artwork by Kouki Saitou, available in the Sword & Shield Build & Battle Box. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing the event. A Non Holofoil version of the Sword & Shield print was also included in the Sword & Shield Build & Battle Box. A Parallel Holofoil version of this card was given away at Pokémon Leagues for the first month of the Sword & Shield Season (February 2020). This print has the Pokémon League logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. It was reprinted as a Full Art Secret card with different artwork by 5ban Graphics in the Darkness Ablaze expansion, first released in the Japanese Explosive Walker subset. The SWSH Promotional print was later included in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset, as was a new print with artwork by Ryuta Fuse featuring the Shiny version of Rillaboom. The Sword & Shield and Shiny prints were later included in the Shining Fates expansion.
