For as long as stocks lasted, a pair of Wonder Picks with the same stats as this Frienda Pick could be obtained from December 12, 2024. During the Get Time or Last! Get Time phases of Battle and Catch! mode, a Wonder Pick notice could appear underneath the prompt to insert currency while both stations on a machine were in use. This indicated a Wonder Tag Battle could occur if a player chose to capture a Pokémon. If a Wonder Tag Battle was triggered, the player on each station could opt to take part. If both players selected to take part, they would challenge Rayquaza together as per a Treasure Tag Battle; if only one player took part, they would challenge it in a Climax Battle without the cooperative features. If Rayquaza was captured, each participant received one of the two Wonder Picks at random, which feature different illustrations. Both Wonder Picks could also be obtained in Catch now! mode. Players with Trainer Picks would unlock a Black Rayquaza-themed outfit Dress-up Item to customize their avatar upon dispensing at least one of the Wonder Picks.[1]
A promotional lamé-treated, translucent gold version of this Frienda Pick was available as part of a gift campaign held in conjunction with the Japanese broadcast of HZ074 on November 22, 2024.[2] A campaign page went live on the TV Tokyo website following the broadcast, on which people could enter the keyword displayed during the episode. Correct answers were entered into a lottery to win one of fifty prize packages, which comprised a set of four exclusive Frienda Picks mounted in an acrylic frame and a copy of the Koraidon, Miraidon & Pikachu Treasure Pokémon Set. The entry period was open until the broadcast of HZ075 on November 29, 2024. Winners were scheduled to receive their prizes by the end of January 2025.[3]
A Legacy version of this Frienda Pick was available in the third Best Tag set, which utilized one of the Wonder Pick illustrations.

Trivia
Origin
The Rayquaza depicted on the non-Wonder Picks is based on Lucius's Black Rayquaza from Pokémon Horizons: The Series. An image of either Liko, Roy, or the two together will appear in-game when one of these Rayquaza is selected to attack for the first time. Dragon Ascent is a move that Rayquaza can use in the animated series and one it can learn in the games.
