Plot
On Christmas Eve morning, Piplup is asleep and dreaming about presents only to still be sad, as what they want most is a friend to play with due to being so shy they can't make friends. They wake up to see that it had snowed, causing them to become excited and head outside. While out walking in the snow, Piplup notices a Pikachu-patterned stocking hanging from a tree branch, wondering why there's only one sock and who could have lost it. As it continues walking it notices more stockings hanging from branches- this time a pink one and a light blue one. Having walked far from home, Piplup has become tired, nervous and afraid - only to find an incredibly large orange stocking and climbing inside to fall asleep. The sleeping Piplup is discovered by Delibird, who says that the stocking is for Christmas presents as well as asking the now-awake Piplup to help them deliver presents to help them wake up. They finish delivering presents only to begin to feel lonely as they're the only Pokémon without a stocking. Delibird reassures them by saying that they have the biggest stocking in the forest, flying them up and letting them see that their footprints in the snow form a stocking and the other Pokémon of the forest wishing them a merry Christmas - giving Piplup the confidence to wish their new friends a merry Christmas back.
