Meet Mew! (Japanese: めだちたがりやのミュウ Attention-Hog Mew) is written by Akihito Toda and illustrated by Kagemaru Himeno. In English, it is the ninth book in the Pokémon Tales series. In Japanese, it is the 42nd book. It is 16 pages long.

Synopsis

A young boy sees a Mew late at night and tells his classmates about it the next day by drawing on the chalkboard, only for them to mock him and say Mew are incredibly rare and never let anyone see them. Meanwhile, the Mew he saw is being scolded by other Mew, saying they only show themselves to humans for good reasons and that this is the tenth time that it'd shown itself needlessly. The boy sadly walks home from school and stops in the park, with Mew deciding that him being sad is a good reason to show themselves - however it gets stopped by the other Mew, who say they have a plan. That night the group of Mew show themselves to all of the boy's classmates, and the next morning the class chalkboard is covered in drawings of Mew, making the little boy happy despite his teacher's scoldings.
