Noriaki Tanimura

Noriaki Tanimura (Japanese: 谷村紀明) is a Japanese artist who has contributed to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. His first card was illustration rare Stantler from the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion. Prior to his work in Pocket, he also illustrated card sleeves and a playmat featuring Arceus for the 2021 Pokémon Battle Festival Asia.
Tanimura's art style emphasizes traditional Japanese culture, and he specializes in illustrating yōkai and kaiju monsters.[1] He illustrated a series of traditional emakimono depicting Ultraman kaiju for the series' 55th anniversary.[2] He has said that an emakimono depicting fan art of popular characters as monsters was his break into the art industry.[3]
Tanimura is a graduate of the Kyoto Institute of Design.[3] He is the Chief Executive Artist for HONNOW Inc.,[4] a marketing company that has assisted in creating advertisements for TCG expansions in markets outside Japan.[5]
