Munchlax's Nap Island is a feature in Pokémon Sleep, introduced as part of the game's third anniversary celebrations on July 19, 2026. It can be accessed from the home screen after the player has registered 35 sleep styles.

Mechanics

Nap Island is a small island in Pokémon Sleep, home to a single Munchlax. The player can send one helper Pokémon at a time to nap with Munchlax on Nap Island, where it will accumulate EXP every minute, adding up to 150 EXP each day. The helper Pokémon gains this experience upon returning from the island. However, if the helper Pokémon is brought back before its stay time has reached seven days, it will only receive half the EXP that was accumulated; the stay time resets when a Pokémon returns from Nap Island. Additionally, EXP will stop accumulating after a Pokémon's stay time has reached one year.

The EXP gains from event bonuses, Growth Incense, and sub skills will not contribute to the EXP accumulated or gained by a Pokémon returning from Nap Island, though increased EXP gains via Nature will still take effect—Natures that decrease EXP gains will not take effect.

When a Pokémon is at Nap Island, neither it's stay time nor the player's sleep research time during its stay will count towards the amount of sleeping time the player has shared with the Pokémon.

A helper Pokémon that has been sent to Nap Island cannot be added to the player's current helper team or have items used on it, and it will not recover Energy from sleep research or reported sleep, though it will recover 15 Energy every 24 hours spent on Nap Island. If a helper Pokémon reaches max level upon its return, extra EXP will be added to the EXP Bonus Gauge instead.

The Relaxing Nap Ticket can be used to rent a Relaxing Set for seven days, which allows the helper Pokémon on Nap Island to accumulate an extra 450 EXP each day. The remaining rental period will only count down while a Pokémon stays on Nap Island, provided the Pokémon has not stopped accumulating EXP due to its stay time exceeding one year, and the rental period can be extended by using more Relaxing Nap Tickets.

Pickup Box

Munchlax will occasionally use Pickup to gather items such as Dream Shards and Candies, storing up to 30 items in the Pickup Box. These items will be added to the bag upon the helper Pokémon's return from Nap Island, regardless of whether the items pocket is full.

The items that Munchlax can put in the Pickup Box are as follows:

Item Quantity
Dream Shard ×1,000
Dream Shard ×5,000
[Pokémon currently on Nap Island] Candy ×1
[Pokémon currently on Nap Island] Candy ×3
[Pokémon currently on Nap Island] Candy ×5
[Type of Pokémon currently on Nap Island]-type Candy S ×1
Handy Candy S ×1
