This card was included as a Regular card and a Full Art illustration rare card in the Destined Rivals expansion, first released in the Japanese Hot Wind Arena subset. The Regular print features artwork by En Morikura, while the illustration rare print features artwork by Orca.
In Japan, the Regular print of this card is reprinted in the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection.

Gym Leader Misty uses a Lapras that knows Surf for her Gym battle in Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and during her rematch in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Surf is a move in the Pokémon games that Lapras can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.
