Houndoom (Japanese: ヘルガー Hellgar) is a Darkness-type Stage 1 Pokémon card. It was first released as part of the Battle Styles expansion.

Single Strike Energy card and attach it to 1 of your
Single Strike Pokémon. Then, shuffle your deck. If you attached Energy to a Pokémon in this way, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon.

Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art Secret card in the Battle Styles expansion, first released in the Japanese Single Strike Master expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Ryota Murayama, while the Secret print features artwork by PLANETA Mochizuki. A SWSH Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Battle Styles with different artwork by Uta, available in the Battle Styles Build & Battle Box. This print was subsequently released in the Japanese Gengar VMAX High-Class Deck. The Battle Styles Regular print was reprinted, alongside a Full Art Secret card with artwork by NC Empire featuring Grimsley, in the Japanese VMAX Climax subset. The Battle Styles Regular print was reprinted again in the Japanese Start Deck 100 as a Non Holofoil card. The VMAX Climax Full Art Secret print was later included in the Brilliant Stars expansion.

Origin
Darkness Fang is an attack that first appeared on Umbreon ex from EX Unseen Forces. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Moon. The Battle Styles Secret print features the Shiny version of Houndoom. Grimsley is featured in the Brilliant Stars print's illustration, who uses a Houndoom when challenged to a rematch in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
