Grapploct (Japanese: オトスパス Otosupus) is a Fighting-type Stage 1 Pokémon card. It was first released as part of the Sword & Shield expansion.
Card text
Until this Grapploct leaves the Active Spot, the Defending Pokémon's attacks cost
more, and the Defending Pokémon can't retreat. This effect can't be applied more than once.
This attack's damage isn't affected by Resistance.

A body made up of nothing but muscle makes the grappling moves this Pokémon performs with its tentacles tremendously powerful.

Release information
This card was included in the Sword & Shield expansion with artwork by Shin Nagasawa, first released in the Japanese Sword expansion. It was reprinted, alongside a new print with artwork by Masakazu Fukuda featuring the Shiny version of Grapploct, in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset. The Shiny print was later included in the Shining Fates expansion.

Octolock is a move in the Pokémon games that Grapploct can learn. Tough Swing is an attack that first appeared on Regirock from Crimson Invasion. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Sword. The Shining Fates print features the Shiny version of Grapploct.
