Release information

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Special Full Art card in the Fusion Strike expansion, first released in the Japanese Gengar VMAX High-Class Deck. The Regular print features artwork by 5ban Graphics, while the Special Full Art print features artwork by sowsow. The Japanese Special Full Art print was a Secret card and was estimated to be included in one of every four Gengar VMAX High-Class Decks.

Trivia

  • This and Gengar V are the first Gengar cards to acknowledge Gengar's Poison typing.
    • While all Gengar cards released between the Diamond & Pearl and Sun & Moon series were Psychic-type, all of them had a Weakness to Darkness, while cards that were Psychic-type due to the Poison typing had a Weakness to Psychic.
