Four Kings
Four Kings (Japanese: フォーキングス Four Kings) is a solitaire card game in Pokémon Zany Cards.
This is a variation of Calculation, also known as Four Kings Solitaire.[1]
Gameplay
This game is played with a standard 52-card deck. It involves drawing cards from the deck and placing them in any of eight piles: four piles in the top row and four piles in the bottom row.
The object of this game is to form four piles of 13 cards in the top row, each pile having its own card sequence ending in K as the 13th card.
Starting the game
The top row starts with four cards, in this order: A, 2, 3, and 4. The bottom row starts with four empty spaces. The stock is the shuffled deck face-down with all the remaining cards.
Playing the game
The player can press B to draw a card from the deck. Once the card is drawn, the player must choose where to place it and press A to confirm.
The four top piles display the latest card added and also show what is the rank of the next allowed card. The card drawn from the deck can be placed in one of the top piles if allowed in the card sequence, in which case the pile will appear blinking until the player decides where to place the current card.
Any card can be freely placed from the deck in any of the four bottom piles, with no limit of cards in each bottom pile. The latest four cards that have been added in each of the bottom piles remain visible during gameplay.
If the latest card added in any bottom pile fits the card sequence in any top pile, that card can be moved from the bottom to the top pile. However, any other cards (except the latest) in a bottom pile behind the latest card cannot be moved before the latest card.
The player can press up to see a table of all 52 cards in the sequence allowed by the four piles, including which cards exactly are already in those piles. The player can press down to see how many cards are remaining in the deck and what is the current difficulty level.
The player wins by forming four piles of 13 cards, in which case a Magikarp animation appears. The player loses by drawing all cards from the deck but having no cards that can be moved from the bottom piles to the top piles.
