Rulings
Faded Town does not affect Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards released in the Mega Evolution Series. The text "Mega Evolution Pokémon" from the XY Series refers to the "MEGA" Stage of a Pokémon-EX, while Mega Evolution Pokémon ex from the Mega Evolution Series can be either a Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2 Pokémon, but never a "MEGA" Stage Pokémon.[1]
