This card was released as a Cosmos Holofoil SVP Black Star Promo card available in the Temporal Forces Three Pack Blisters from March 22, 2024. In Japan, this card was one of seven SV-P Promotional cards available in Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 3, which was distributed at Pokémon Card Gym venues able to do so from July 28, 2023.^[1] The Japanese print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.

This card's Weakness and Resistance correspond to those of Psychic-type or Ghost-type Pokémon during the Scarlet & Violet Series, despite Cleffa being pure Fairy-type in the video games. However, in the video games Fairy-type Pokémon are weak to Poison (which has been classified as Darkness since Sword & Shield) and resist Fighting, though no other pure Fairy-type Pokémon has ever had a card printed with this combination of Weakness and Resistance before or since.
