|This article is about a special episode of the Pokémon anime that has not been dubbed into English. As such, its coverage may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names.|
(Japanese: アニメ ポケットモンスター問題検証報告 Anime: Pocket Monsters Problem Inspection Report) is a special broadcast about the Pokémon anime. It is sixty minutes in length. The special is about the EP038 incident, which resulted in 685 viewers being sent to hospitals in Japan due to photosensitive epileptic seizures; however, only 150 were actually admitted into the hospitals due to other children recovering in the ambulance.
The special was never released outside of Japan, likely due to only affecting Japanese viewers. It is known to have aired at least once.
Professor Harding from Aston University, an expert on photoparoxysmal response provocation who helped establish the guidelines used by the British ITC, is invited into the studio to determine the cause of the problems found in Pokémon, and explain the medical backing of the guidelines established by TV Tokyo. Also, the program began with a greeting and apology by the President of TV Tokyo, the history of the incident, explanation of the video techniques used in episode 38 of Pokémon, and the announcement of the newly developed "Anime Checker", a machine which detects and analyses video flicker.
