Abuse

Darknesslover5000 has abused the userspace a few times too many, even though there have been gaps in-between, so I've protected his userpage (and, if I understand how cascading protection works, also the subpage he keeps editing). Eh, cascading actually just protects all pages transcluded in that page. Meaning templates, mostly, but say we protect the list of episodes, it'd protect the individual OS, AG, and DP lists, since they're transcluded. TTEchidna 03:10, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

episode 100

i uploaded the episode 100 image File:DP100.JPG and my question is why can't i use the image on the List of Diamond & Pearl episodes The image of choice is File:DP100.jpg

the image policy does not say anything about not using spoilers. http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Archives:Manual_of_style

• If used in the articles for the episode or movie that the screenshot was derived from, avoid trimming the image. Screenshots for episodes should be 320x240, or failing that, in another 4:3 ratio. Screenshots for movies should be 426x240, or failing that, in another 16:9 ratio, assuming the movie is in widescreen format. If the screenshot is used in another article, such as a character profile, trimming is allowed to focus the image on the article's subject.

• Episode screenshots should be as informative about the episode as possible. The best screenshots focus on major characters, depict the plot or major events of the episode, and display the episode's animation quality. (Pikastorm 18:24, 2 November 2008 (UTC))

The image policy says nothing about image spoilers, yes, but do you want someone to ruin the episode for you with the first thing on the page? Besides, the major plot point was Torterra helping Grotle after it evolved, not Ash battling with it. TTEchidna 20:59, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

S.T.A.B.

On the Pokémon pages before it shows the moves the Pokémon can learn it states that if the move is in bold it gets STAB but at the end of the moves it states the same thing do you need to put that bold indicates STAB twice? - unsigned comment from MyUU (talk • contribs)

Eh, it's in every box mostly because I wanted a template to close it and wanted the template to be more than a simple |}. Besides, most people don't pay attention to anything written anyway, so a reminder doesn't exactly hurt. TTEchidna 20:54, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
