But then the crappy beginning trainer gets a Yanma anyway and Ash kicks TR's ass with Buizel. Betcha Team Rocket's blastoff will be "Team Rocket's buzzing off again!" in the dub...

==So what's next?==
Hmm... now we have an open slot for both of them, it's capture time! I think maybe late in the DP saga, likely around [[DP123]], James will pick up a {{p|Snover}}. Then it can freeze him, furthering the "James's Grass-type Pokémon keep hurting him" thing. Earlier on, maybe around [[DP082]], Jessie could get a Poison-type in the Great Marsh; I'd bet on a Stunky like everyone's been saying. And then by league time it'll become a Skuntank.
Hmm... now we still have an open slot for James. I still say Snover, since he's gone like 30 episodes without a full party already, while Jessie's been less than 10. So all they have to wait is until they hit Route 216... not too much longer. Maybe 30-40 episodes.

Interestingly, as of this point, Jessie and James have both had their Psychic-types the longest. Their second-longest is the Pokémon whose type they prefer (Jessie Poison, James Grass). If they each get a third Pokémon ({{p|Stunky}} for Jessie and {{p|Snover}} for James), it'd keep their favorite type.

Funny thing. James keeps getting rid of Pokémon left and right, but Jessie's managed to hang on to Wobbuffet for almost 400 episodes now. I don't get this, either: Ash still has Pikachu to this day, while Jessie and James released Arbok and Weezing, the Pokémon they first had. I mean, essentially, they're good guys, they're the part of Ash's group that lags behind him about 50 feet in the forest, then takes a shortcut, ends up in front of him, battles, gets their asses kicked, and ''somehow'' find him AGAIN in a HUGE REGION. I mean, shit, did they slip a GPS tracker onto Pikachu or something?

Okay, yay. I'm gonna do another one, just like I did for Ash.

Only here we're going for Team Rocket's Pokémon!

...yes, both Jessie and James in one. They're too connected to be separated. And Meowth doesn't count. Plus, together, their Pokémon never amount to more than six.

Jessie and James's current status:

Their first appearance. And they're threatening... kinda.

Both of their Pokémon evolve! Gasp! Still nothing else.

EP052

A capture? For Team Rocket!? Unheard of!

Weezing

EP057

Wait, what? Apparently James previously had a Weepinbell and dropped it off in some breeding center. And now TR has two and two.

EP146

Yeah, that's right. Took 89 episodes for them to change the team again. Crazy. Jessie accidentally trades Lickitung!

EP261

Gasp. Stuff happens, and Team Rocket releases its first Pokémon: James's Victreebel!

Hoenn

AG006

And the rest of the saga goes by with nothing happening to the teams. Then AG comes around. And so as to showcase all of the Hoenn Pokémon, it's time to get rid of the Kanto Pokémon! Worst move ever. I liked Arbok and Weezing.

Wobbuffet

But so that James would have at least one Pokémon...

AG008

Now Jessie's without her trademark snake... and a Template:Type2 Pokémon! Luckily she finds a Seviper.

AG014

This is now very unbalanced. Jessie has three, James has one.

Cacnea

AG024

Sure it evolved in ten episodes, but remember the last Pokémon that evolved at level 7? You know, Caterpie. Yeah. Took it less than ONE episode. Ah well. First evolution for Team Rocket since back in Kanto, around 260 episodes before.

And compared to the last time, it's been such a short while between them. Another evolution! Enjoy it, it's the last one there's been.

Finally somewhat more balanced, James now has two things to send out.

And then James leaves his sick Chimecho behind so as to showcase more Gen IV Pokémon early.

Sinnoh

DP002

James finds a Nintendo 64 a box full of bottlecaps at one of his vacation homes in Sinnoh, and there's a Poké Ball inside. It's his Carnivine!

DP054

Well, I can't say I wanted this, but James gave Cacnea to Gardenia. He looked pretty damn broken up about it, too... sheesh, about as bad as Ash was in Charizard's Burning Ambition with Charizard. Open slot time!

DP073

Well, now both of them have an open slot. And all Jessie has are non-Sinnoh Dex Pokémon. She repeats Ash's sentiments in Bye Bye Butterfree. Man. Hope TR captures something soon.
