So as people may be aware, this Pokémon's Japanese name contains non-standard katakana usage, making it difficult to romanize. I picked ''Me'ēkuru'' because I thought it best reflected how it would be pronounced (also because I initially assumed it was メエークル not メェークル, due to the former being closer to normal Japanese). The only Japanese word I can find that uses メェ is メェル (mail/male), which is usually romanized as ''Me~eru''. While I think ''Me'ēkuru'' is still a valid romanization, ''Me~ēkuru'' would more closely match how メェル is romanized. So what do people think should be the Hepburn romanization until an official one is revealed? Chances are we will get the English name soon so I don't think moving the page is worthwhile now, but it will still need to be present on the page so I figured I would start discussion now. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 11:19, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Name

This one is pretty simple: me'ē would be a goat's bleat while kuru comes from ビークル (vehicle).--Kaoz (talk) 01:27, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

I don't think it's ability was revealed (not to sure though) and apparently it's Ability is Sap Sipper ----samm :) (talk) 08:51, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Romanization

So as people may be aware, this Pokémon's Japanese name contains non-standard katakana usage, making it difficult to romanize. I picked Me'ēkuru because I thought it best reflected how it would be pronounced (also because I initially assumed it was メエークル not メェークル, due to the former being closer to normal Japanese). The only Japanese word I can find that uses メェ is メェル (mail/male), which is usually romanized as Me~eru. While I think Me'ēkuru is still a valid romanization, Me~ēkuru would more closely match how メェル is romanized. So what do people think should be the Hepburn romanization until an official one is revealed? Chances are we will get the English name soon so I don't think moving the page is worthwhile now, but it will still need to be present on the page so I figured I would start discussion now. --SnorlaxMonster 11:19, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
