Variation
Shouldn' this move be considered a variation of Crafty shield. Both moves protect user and ally from a type of a move, Mat block from attacks and crafty shield for status moves (TheLittleEevee (talk) 02:03, 22 October 2017 (UTC))
- They differ in two important ways: Mat Block only works on the first turn the Pokémon is in battle (Crafty Shield works on any turn), and Mat Block is not a priority move. This results in them being so different that they shouldn't be considered variations. --SnorlaxMonster 03:18, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
