Really? How would gorebyss be based on a goblin shark? It's nose bears a very slight similarity, but nowhere near enough to be based on it, seeing as it is more similar to a mosquito's proboscus than a nose, and the nose looks far more like the chimera previously mentioned earlier. Gorebyss is based quite clearly on the long-nosed chimera: 
This is a well-known fish in Japan, and an inhabitant of the Deep Sea Abyss like Huntail (gulper eel). I'm amazed the name origin doesn't say anything about the abyss, either. Byss? Seriously? That's far too obscure even for Pokemon. Huntail and Gorebyss are both based on ABYSS dwelling fish. - unsigned comment from Scythemantis (talk • contribs)
