Why is this called Gekijouban Pokemon DP? All of the movies have Gekijouban at the beginning because it means "Movie" or "Movie version." The first Gekijouban Pokemon DP movie was, of course, the tenth movie. It's just a strange name for the eleventh movie I think. --Greengiant 06:32, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

My guess is that because there's no official title for the movie yet, the person who created the article titled it this. However, I personally don't think we need an article about the eleventh movie just yet. Considering we know next to nothing about it, I feel that we should have waited to begin this article. --PAK Man Talk 14:08, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
I think we need it. I mean it's confirmed since the tenth movie was in theaters. I just think this page should be called something else until we find out a title, like Pikachu Project 11 or something. --Greengiant 15:12, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
It's worth noting what is known now that the movie is confirmed. I've pointed out that it is a working title so this is as good as anything until the actual title is revealed. --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:29, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Rumors

Not so long ago I heared that the title for 11th movie is supposed to be Call for Arceus: the Ancient One. Could somebody confirm these rumors? --Ade Tyshio 22:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Entirely unlikely. We won't get any form of a confirmed title until the end of the year and everything points to this being the Shaymin movie. --FabuVinny T-C-S 12:03, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Who bets that if Shaymin appears, Dawn will be the protagonist? (Light)

That would be entirely predictable... so it's a 50/50 chance. She appears to actually be a true co-star in movie 10 anyway. --FabuVinny T-C-S 09:54, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Can anyone confirm the rumor that Ash's Pidgeot will have a role in this movie? I could have sworn that i heard that somewhere... → User:Thomas1652

"Title"

"Gekijōban Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl" is not a working title. Movie 10 also had this "title" (if it can be called so). This movie doesn't have a working title yet. --Maxim 14:59, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

"Gekijōban Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl 2008" is the working title. Check the official website. Unsigned contribution by Pokemaniac102.

  • I bet Pokemaniac102 has right. Nothing has a working title when it starts. I mean, I don't think they said "Hey! Let us begin with next video games that has the titles Pokémon Diamond and Pearl" when they started on them, and to make a name ONLY for a short trailer like that would be really, REALLY stupid. -- Pokémon Lover King Mario u c 21.53 (GMT +01)

Wow, someone agrees with me. Anyway, the title only means that the scene is part of a Pokémon Movie in the series Diamond and Pearl and is set to be released in 2008. Pokemaniac

Dialga/Palkia Again?!

Are Dialga and Palkia going to appear in this movie? I just realised that you see them both raoring in the trailer. They might cameo, but does anybody else have any clues as to why they are there? File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALK File:Ani474MS.gifFUN 18:09, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Probably just because there's 'Diamond and Pearl' in the title, they decided to show off Dialga and Palkia. Pfff. Like they need more attention than they already do.. 281Tinaδ282 18:15, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

That scene was from the previous movie. Pokemaniac102

Oh, I haven't seen Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai, so I wouldn't know. XD I want to see it! *talks to himself* Mind you, I still haven't seen the 3rd movie either, got to get my hands on it... File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALK File:Ani474MS.gifFUN 20:18, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

I was right Dialga and Palkia will be in it, I think...! XD This feels like its turning into a saga about the Pokémon Gods and in the end i think that the *secret* Arceus (*cough* Not!) will be revealed... Can't wait to see Gratina and Regigigas though, they are awesome! If however, Shaymin and Regigigas and Giratina are all in this movie then the creators sure are trying to get them out of the way quickly; cramming five Legendary Pokémon into one movie is rather rushed. This is probably because there are a lot of new Legendary Pokémon that need to be shown. Maybe if, after they debut, they will return for another movie. 137TESH233TALK474FUN 16:38, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

They better have Shaymin. I want my legit Shaymin plz. ;C At the same time, I think that putting 5 legendaries (With two that already debuted, so I guess 3.) in one movie just seems plain weird. Although... if so, then whatever event Pokémon they'll stick in, I want it. 8D (With Giratina, Palkia and Dialga in it... that hints a trio. SPECULATION*cough*) User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 17:19, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Movie 8 had five legendaries. And there are a lot to cover this generation. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:23, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Lol, I think there'll be one more movie with Arceus at the end. XO 137TESH233TALK474FUN 17:22, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I think they will have a movie based on Cresselia when they get to Canalave, another movie with Heatran at Stark Mountain, and then a movie with Arceus. Random279

That would be five movies, though. On past form, Sinnoh would get 3, 4 at most. Oh, and I'd love Darkrai to come back for a Cresselia movie. Dreams Vs Nightmares! ^_^ Cassius335 18:27, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay then, maybe not the Heatran movie, but I think they will definitely make a movie with Cresselia, then if they do return to Jhoto, they might have a movie with Ho-oh and Lugia. Then they will finish with the Arceus movie. Random279

More likely there will be movies focused on 5th Gen legendaries or a mix of 5th Gen species with Arceus at the end. I doubt they would have a movie in Johto focused solely on Lugia and Ho-oh. Even if both reappear, there would be a requisite for a core 5th Gen Pokémon (like in Movie 8 when Mew reappeared, but Lucario was the star). Also, I don't know if they'd use Ho-oh as the star of any movie, considering that it's rather been symbolic figure of Satoshi's journey the whole time, and never appeared (besides Mew's transform in M8) in a movie thus yet. But it's also possible Heatran would appear alongside Cresselia and a reoccurring Darkrai. Also, Regigigas could reoccur alongside the Regi Trio. We don't know anything yet. However, this Origin Form of Giratina SCREAMS Opal Version (though Lady Berlitz's colour scheme is more along the lines of Amethyst). All and all, we'll just have to wait and see.--Satosuke 16:51, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Chimchar???

I din't see the movie (since I live in the U.S.), but I saw pictures of a Chimchar blowing fire in a hot air balloon. Can anyone confirm that this is Ash's Chimchar???? --File:Spr 3e 059.gifFile:Spr 3e 132.gifTheryguy512 File:Trozeiani025.gif 13:34, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

That sounds more like Movie 10... Cassius335 15:58, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Movie title

The title has been confirmed by Sunain of Pocketmonsters.net

[01:33] <Sunain> 「劇場版ポケットモンスターダイヤモンド&パール ギラティナと氷空(そら)の花束」 [01:33] <Sunain> Theatrical Edition Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl: Giratina and the Bouquet of the Icy Sky

Icy Sky???

the Wikipedia article says the title is Giratina and the Icy Sky Bouquet'. Should we note this somewhere??? --File:Spr 3e 059.gifFile:Spr 3e 132.gifTheryguy512 File:Trozeiani025.gif 11:53, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Well, I used the same title as Bulbanews used. File:Ani282MS.gifNetto-kun TalkFile:Ani392MS.gif 12:11, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Translation

Producers again use their damn beloved Jukujikun. Should we translate 氷空 as "Icy Sky" (as characters suggest), or as "Sky" (as reading suggests)? Damn, I hate that Jukujikun. --Maxim 12:14, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I think that "Sky" is better than "Icy Sky". File:Ani282MS.gifNetto-kun TalkFile:Ani392MS.gif 12:17, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Maybe they're up high enough for it to be quite cold? Cassius335 16:00, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Maybe it hints at a Galactic entrance, where they go to the top of Mt. Coronet, unless they're saving that for DP movie 3. User:TTEchidna/sig 18:21, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
If they're going to do the Mount Coronet thing, I suspect they'd do it in the anime. Cassius335 23:49, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
I could see Mt. Coronet happening in the Arceus movie. But the 'bouquet' part of the title and previously seen flowery field don't seem to match up to the icy sky. This will probably only make sense when we get more information about the plot. Like when May deliciously captured Munchlax. --FabuVinny T-C-S 16:33, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Translation of the title--"icy sky" or simply "sky"?

I'll give the fact that the 氷 isn't pronounced, but they bothered to use it and it should probably be represented in the translation.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 05:24, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Wow

Have you seen the official website? It dramatically changed from really grassy to really icy.File:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102 15:14, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Why are there Magnezones floating on the background on the offical website??? Magnetons evolve into them at Mt. Coronet.....where it is very icy........Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm--File:Spr 3e 059.gifFile:Spr 3e 132.gifTheryguy512 File:Trozeiani025.gif 15:43, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

It is likely that Magnezones will debut in the movieFile:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102 16:07, 8 December 2007 (UTC) It may even be possible that the setting is set near Mt. Coronet.

Huh? I saw mountain and ridges on the ground, where it should be, and in the sky, where it shouldn't be.File:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102 16:16, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure the recent Nosepass evolution didn't take place at Mt. Coronet. --FabuVinny T-C-S 16:26, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Are you talking about DP058? That was a nosepass that evolved during the episode?File:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102 16:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

STOP THE MOVE WAR

GUYS. STOP IT. It's really getting on my nerves, seeing the Move log every 5 seconds in Recent changes. And having to change the redirects OVER and over... WHICH FREAKIN TITLE ARE WE GONNA USE. (Oh. Yeah. I totally swore because when I submitted this comment, the redirect page was there instead. =_=) User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 16:32, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

It'll be protected from future moves until next year. User:TTEchidna/sig 20:47, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
So if we do want to move the page and we have a reasonable explanation why, may we contact you?File:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102 01:40, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Protection

When does the protection end? I'm hoping till at least the end of this year. File:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102File:AniEggMS.gif 21:50, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

00:00, January 1, 2008 (UTC), as per the log entry. Basically, when it chimes midnight of the new year in Greenwich, the protection ends. --Shiningpikablu252 21:58, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
ThanksFile:Ani471MS.gifPokemaniac102File:AniEggMS.gif 22:00, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
And if there's any more arguing it's gonna be until the movie gets released. User:TTEchidna/sig 23:41, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

I have somthing to think about!

I think this may be the Finishing blow that the third game of the D/P saga Might Infact be Opal Version, since Graintina is battling Palaka and Dialaga, just LIke Groundon, Kyorge and Raquaza having a fight, and Raquaza is the version Mascot of Emerald, tying in Ruby and Saphire.

That's just speculation, which most of us don't take too kindly to. File:Ani026MS.gifMudkipchanFile:Ani392MS.gif
"Palaka"? "Groundon"? "Graintina"? My word please spell Pokémon names right. --ケンジガール 02:16, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Most of us are fine with speculating as long as it stays in the forum and out of the article. I'll just remind you that the pair were fighting Darkrai in the last movie. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:01, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm kind of hoping for some kind of cosmic horror element in this movie after seeing this form. Because frankly I love the thought of Ash (or Dawn, just as good) being reduced to babbling insanity by the mere sight of such a terror.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 06:26, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
I share the same thoughtsUser:Pokemaniac102/Sig 06:28, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Though, I keep getting the image of Ash standing on a mountain peak, turning around to find him face to beak (i think) with the origin form of Giratina. Then Giratina's body turns black and is absorbed into Ash's body. Ash's eyes turn red and he is possesed by it.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 06:30, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Shaymin or Sheimi?

Isn't the correct translation of the title "Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Sheimi"? Shaymin's not its name in Japanese. Or are we just doing it this way so people will know what we're talking about? --File:Ani048MS.gifケンジFile:Ani183MS.gifガールFile:Ani123MS.gif 06:30, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I think it should be changed to Sheimi, seeing as it's the Japanese movie. But then again, we didn't do that for The Rise of Darkrai, did we? User:Tesh/Signature 11:29, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't think we can apply a precedent from Rise of Darkrai. Darkrai, Dialga and Palkia all have the same Japanese and English names. I'll just make "Sheimi" into "{{tt|Sheimi|Shaymin}}", that ought to fix it.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 12:58, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
