According to Japanese release dates, this Episode was released AFTER the first movie debuted in Japan. However, the scene with Mewtwo escaping the Rocket HQ definitely is supposed to come before the movie (it's seen also in the early scenes of the movie). In the US, this episode was definitively released before the movie. What's wrong with this picture here? Did this episode get released in Japan before or after Mewtwo Strikes Back?
