I'm not sure...

Should it be written in the article that this is the first episode that shows a Pokémon being burned? Mmmmm though I'm not sure if it is the first time, it's just that I can't remember seing it before. I do think it's worth mentioning. YukitoOoO 00:40, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it is.--RexRacer 00:46, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Trivia Addition

Is it just me, or can you hear Regigigas' "anime cry" when Chimchar evoles. As a matter of fact this music was used when Regigigas went back to normal in DP129. Here's a link to that part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNi6PaC5hHY

If I'm right, its worth being added to the Trivia section, right?--Blazaking 13:38, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Monferno's Blaze

Just a heads up for people who want to add it back. Yes it does look like Blaze but it's not. This is what's said in Pocketmonsters.net's fansub.

Dawn: Is that Blaze?
Reggie: No. It's not. Moukazaru's fighting spirit has flared up, as if it wants to say "I won't go down just yet!".

Though, J-J-M, this could have been prevented if you explained better. --ケンジガール 01:45, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

God that is messed up. Reggie says it isn't Blaze, then implies it is... --HoennMaster 04:47, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I don't get it either. Reggie screwed us over big time D= --ケンジガール 06:02, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I really don't think Reggie implied, after all look at Monferno's Diamond Pokédex entry: "To intimidate attackers, it stretches the fire on its tail to make itself appear bigger." or its platinum's Pokédex: "It skillfully controls the intensity of the fire on its tail to keep its foes at an ideal distance." so I'm not sure how Reggie implied it was.--Dman dustin 17:20, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

I've got a few comments...

  • Please correct me if I'm wrong*

1. Monferno's evolution- The evolution in this episode seemed different from any other. It looked like you could see every change that took place while chimchar evolved into Monferno. Normally, the pokemon would just glow white and then kinda morph slowly into a new shape rather than change step by step like chimchar did.

2. Pikachu's static- Is this the first time we hear about pikachu's static ability? If not in this episode, I'm sure it has only come up during sometime in the diamond & pearl episodes. I just think it funny that after all these years, it's only now pikachu can paralysis other pokemon through physical contact. Ash could have won so many battle had this always been the case.

3. Burn Status- I do think this might be the first episode where a pokemon get burned. If not, could someone tell me the first episode where burned happens?
