Am I the only one who sees Beedrill as being based off of Knights? It just seems fairly obvious, yet there's nothing on this page listed.

  • Examples: its stance/how it is portrayed, its lance-like stingers, the many Pokedex descriptions that not only apply to bees and hornets but fairly accurately describe jousting (see: Crystal, R/S/E, D/P/Pt), the fact that its Japanese name is Spear (a weapon used by Jousting Knights in lieu of lances), the fact that many Knights served as protectors of their lord and/or lady's lands (the nest) and attacked either solo or in groups (like the Pokedex descriptions), the fact that many European castles were built near forests or coasts (both of which are prone to fog), and the style of attacks it learns (rage, fury attack, focus energy, pursuit, etc.).
  • Yes, it is quite obviously based off of bees and wasps, but I find it hard to believe that I'm the absolute only person out there that has even considered that Knights played any sort of factor in its creation. Can anyone else see where I'm coming from with this, and is there any way we can officially confirm if it is or is not partially based off of Knights? Crenel 07:23, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
