Disguise

I am not the only one who thinks this, but it appears Oobemu is wearing shades, a trenchcoat, and a large hat, akin to an alien trying to disguise itself among humans like the martian manhunter did in Justice League: The New Frontier, among other sci-fi stories. It does fit in with its origins and characteristics and I do believe should be added to the Trivia or Physiology or whatever. Again, many other people do agree with this. --Ryuutakeshi 02:04, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

I can definitely see the resemblance. Good eye, didn't notice it before. :0 Jo The Marten 02:19, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

I think it should be noted that Beheeyem have a heavy correlation with the Men in Black, due to its appearance, use of powers to manipulate memories, and its alien origins. One of the theories surrounding these mysterious men is that they could be aliens who police the earth and cover up alien encounters. --Oleandervine 19:19, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Druids?

It seems to me that Oobemu's apperance very much resembles traditional druid robes. I just thought I would bring it up because we mentiond the stone circles (wich are used in some druid traditions). What do you think?--EpicShadow 18:35, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Name origin

Could "Beheeyem" also come from beam? I think they sound somewhat alike when pronounced, although i may be the only one. --~~☆Flyingtypefan☆~~ Talk Name origin 21:17, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

More possible name origin

I'd like point out the fact that his japanese name, Oobemu, contains the acronym OOBE, which stands for "Out Of Body Experience", a kind of paranormal phenomenon. I don't think that's a coincidence! --Lawrence91 17:05, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

name pronunciation

Really, it's hard for non native English speaker to pronunce its name. How do you pronunce it? --SamuStar 14:06, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

We don't put pronunciation guides on Pokémon articles. To ask general questions, please use the forums. --SnorlaxMonster 14:37, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

yeah, instead of writing that useless answer you could have write the pronunciation, I just asked one thing which can be asked in 5 seconds... --SamuStar 22:28, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Beheeyem is derived from the acronym BEM, or "bug-eyed monster", an old-fashioned term for alien, pronounced as individual letters. The term was popularized in Japan by the anime Yōkai Ningen Bemu, and popularized in the UK by Doctor Who, most famously with the Daleks. It's stated in the article. Ataro 22:33, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

thank you, so based on the name origin it's pronunced like "B.E.M.", right? --SamuStar 22:38, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Yep. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 22:04, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
