Some trivia about the games

Is it notable that although Iris's and Shaga's teams are nearly identical, the only difference is that all of Iris's Pokémon are female while all of Shaga's are male?--Si6x12 06:23, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

It's because they are interchangeable. It's not really very good trivia. If they were not interchangeable, then maybe. --SnorlaxMonster 09:03, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
I actually think it's a good piece of trivia. ^_^ Delspencerdeltorro 13:35, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Me too, which is why it's on the page. They could have given them identical teams, but chose not to. Same thing like how Bugsy uses female Pokémon. —darklordtrom 10:26, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Um..

Shouldn't this be a disambig? Similar to this? J-J-M 19:15, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Or not. Similar to this.--でんのう Zえんし 19:20, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Or this. And this. She's a Gym Leader, not a player character. This is probably done because of the manga. --ケンジガール 19:22, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Really don't see much difference between a player character or a gym leader, but it's fine. J-J-M 19:31, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Dawn has a different manga counterpart: Platinum Berlitz. Iris can have her game and manga sections in her article without making a new one. That's what I basically meant. --ケンジガール 19:36, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Iris's debut

Someone should probably mention that Iris is first encountered in Black and White in Hiun City, when she becomes Bel's bodyguard after Team Plasma steals Bel's Munna. I can't, though; the page is still edit-locked for me. Adalina 14:48, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Bad pic

Just like Shaga's pic, Iris' has her right leg cut off so shouldn't there be the Bad picture template? I'd put it up but I don't know the specific code. Also... while speculative I feel a need to ask. Is Iris related to Shaga in a family sense? They're both gym leaders of the eighth gym, albeit version exclusively, while the other will teach Draco Meteor. Both train dragon types too. So I believe they're related by blood. and don't worry I'll also put this on the forums. In A Manica 06:02, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

I don't believe that they are stated to be related. --SnorlaxMonster 07:02, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Well Iris does call Shaga 'grandfather' in Japanese but I guess that doesn't mean they're related. I'm too far in Black to see if anything else is mentioned though, and now Iris just wants to teach "the ultimate Dragon move". Bluesun 08:10, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Actually, she calls him "Shaga Oji-san" which could "Mr. Shaga". Could also be "Uncle Shaga". Ojii-san is grandfather. Anyway, this discussion is for the forums. --ケンジガール 08:25, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Voice

2/12/11 - Iris' actress is someone completely new, once I find out who it is, I'll post a name. In the meantime, no it's not Eileen Stevens. - unsigned comment from Kirbopher (talkcontribs)

2/13/11 - Hey, sorry about that. I just messaged Eileen and found out she IS indeed playing Iris! I'm not sure if there was a last second cast-change, I heard from another cast member that Iris was to be played by a new actress, but either way, Eileen's the one! - unsigned comment from Kirbopher (talkcontribs)

TRivia

Has anyone seen that Iris is dark skinned and her counterpant, Drayden, is white skinned. You can Iris battle in Pokemon White where you can find the black hero Zekrom. Drayden can be battled in pokemon black where the white hero can be found Reshiram. Trivia awarded? --Nazirbashir 17:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
