You know, particularly when one looks at the higher-level trainers, it's difficult to say what their signature Pokémon should be, and I wonder if one should even consider them to have one.  For example, [[Lorelei]]'s {{p|Jynx}} or {{TP|Lorelei|Cloyster}} could be considered just as defining as her strongest and final, {{p|Lapras}}.  But on the other hand, part of me wants to include such trainers and their strongest just to avoid edit wars, since there's going to be ''someone'' who notices other Elite Four members on the list and "realizes" that Lorelei was "forgotten".  And I'd prefer not to throw in a hundred notes about why this trainer or that trainer was excluded.  The article could just drop the list entirely, but lists of data are essentially the bread and butter of this wiki, right? And I doubt anyone's going to consider this a complete article without it.  So... Remaking from scratch

I realize this one is already under construction, but it looks like the actual user hasn't touched it in four years and as-is, it's not going to be moved to the mainspace without being completely rewritten. So, uh... I completely rewrote it! How does it look so far? More wiki-ish, at least? (Also, I'm fifty-fifty on whether a signature and a premium brand are the same thing, mostly because of Cilan deciding that every Pokémon he owns is his premium brand. But I threw it in for now, and am open to arguments either way.) --Pie ~ 09:32, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

Where should the line be drawn?

You know, particularly when one looks at the higher-level trainers, it's difficult to say what their signature Pokémon should be, and I wonder if one should even consider them to have one. For example, Lorelei's Jynx or Cloyster could be considered just as defining as her strongest and final, Lapras. But on the other hand, part of me wants to include such trainers and their strongest just to avoid edit wars, since there's going to be someone who notices other Elite Four members on the list and "realizes" that Lorelei was "forgotten". And I'd prefer not to throw in a hundred notes about why this trainer or that trainer was excluded. The article could just drop the list entirely, but lists of data are essentially the bread and butter of this wiki, right? And I doubt anyone's going to consider this a complete article without it. So... I don't know. Thoughts, opinions? Should I just throw a fan speculation notice on it and call it a day? --Pie ~ 21:59, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
