:Because it looks just like any of the other wanderers in the game's data table; there is nothing different about it that couldn't be different about any other two wanderers. It's only differentiated elsewhere by the behavior it's apparently given. (It could be about as simple as: at the beginning of the day, all these flags are reset for whether a wanderer was defeated, but not Wailord (or most non-Wild Area/non-DLC wanderers).) Anyway, if it indeed never respawns, it's functionally more similar to Zacian or Tapu Fini than to the Motostoke Riversbank Snorlax imo; it doesn't even move IIRC. :::The [[wanderer]] page has a whole list of Pokemon that often don't reappear. In the field that identifies wanderers, Zacian and Zamazenta have a distinct value. That said, there are also some other odd "wanderers". Most notable is the Pokemon featured in the [[Motostoke Stadium]] challenge.
