:{{TCG ID|XY|Gourgeist|57}} would still be left with 10HP with Protection Cube attached, as placing damage counters is not the same as doing damage. This would only work on cards like {{TCG ID|Flashfire|Golem|47}}, where its Explosion attack states "This Pokémon '''does 100 damage''' to itself."
