Just a little linguistic divertissement for you. <br>

The English, German, French and Italian versions suggest the last 4 months of the year. <br>
In English the  ''…ber'' could indicate only ''september, october, november'' or ''dicember''. <br>
In German the ''...ber'' could indicate only ''September, Oktober, November'' or ''Dezember''. <br>
In French the ''...bre'' could indicate only ''septembre, octobre, novembre'' or ''décembre''. <br>
In Italian the ''... bre'' could indicate only ''settembre, ottobre, novembre'' or ''dicembre''. 

In Spanish instead the ''...mbre'' excludes october (''octubre'') and could only refer to ''septiembre, noviembre'' or ''diciembre''. We are left with only three months. <br>

The original Japanese in-game text is not useful as it only says ''がつ'' (gatsu), which is the ending of every month name in Japanese written, as usual, in kana. In kanji it would be ''月''. It means ''month'' or ''moon''.<br>
September: 九月 kugatsu. Written in kana: くがつ.<br>
November: 十一月 jūichigatsu. Written in kana: じゅういちがつ.<br>
December: 十二月 (jūnigatsu). Written in kana: じゅうにがつ.<br>
Interesting, but how is all of this useful? <br>
If you look at the picture of the artwork of the sign in this very article, it seems that there could be room for just one kana character before the ''-gatsu'' (the first hole in the map at the beginning of the text). September seems to be the only month among the ones contemplated by the western localizations to be able to fit! The others have too many characters. Eureka!

In case you are wondering if the Spanish version made a mistake excluding october, it also is too long to fit in the picture of the Japanese map: 十月 jūgatsu, written in kana: じゅうがつ. <br>
