The {{type|Bug}} Gym Badge is the [[badge]] awarded by the [[Cortondo Gym]] in [[Paldea]]. It is given by [[Katy]], the [[Gym Leader]].

Gym Badges in Paldea have no official names beyond "Gym Badge".

==In the core series==
The Bug-type Gym Badge is given by Katy, the leader of the Cortondo Gym, after defeating her. Badges in Paldea can be obtained in any order, but Katy's team has the lowest level of all the Paldean Gym Leaders.

Obtaining a Gym Badge increases the level of Pokémon that will [[obedience|obey]] the player by 5 (starting from 20 with no badges; but ending at 100 with all 8 badges). It also advances the player's progress to being able to challenge the {{pal|Pokémon League}}, once all eight Gym Badges have been collected.
