By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Linking Pokémon articles

Whenever you're linking to a Pokémon article, it's always important to use the {{p}} template, otherwise you are leaving behind a redirect. For example, {{p|Meltan}} is the proper usage, not simply [[Meltan]]. Just so you know. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:39, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

Copyrighted characters

Copyrighted character may not be used as possible origins as they are, well, protected by copyright.--ForceFire 05:35, 19 November 2022 (UTC)

As I've already stated, no copyrighted characters. It doesn't matter if you feel the "evidence speaks for itself", we are simply not allowing copyrighted characters. Particularly copyrighted characters from a company really finicky with copyright. Also, adding real life peopl solely because they played the character is not evidence and is simply a large, wishful stretch.
Secondly, do not simply revert and edit you do not agree with, especially if it's an edit conforming to our rules. And do not do so continouously, as it can be seen as edit warring. If you disagree with an edit, take it to the talk page, do not just simply re-add your edit. If you continue to re-add copyrighted characters, you may face a block. Thank you.--ForceFire 16:38, 19 November 2022 (UTC)

Block

As you have continued to ignore your talk page and re-added your edits, you have been blocked from editting those pages for three days. As I have stated before, NO. COPYRIGHTED. CHARACTERS. PERIOD. It does not matter how you feel about that, it is our rule and you need to follow it. Copyright is a really finicky subject that we'd rather not touch.

Also, do NOT just continually revert edits you do not agree with. DISCUSS. Use the talk page. Dont't just go running for the revert button. If you return from that three day period to re-add copyrighted characters, the you may face a site-wide block that will be longer than three days. Thank you.--ForceFire 17:04, 19 November 2022 (UTC)

Trivia and Previews

Rather than focusing solely on trivia for pages, could look at pages that are stubs or other sections of articles that might need to be tidied up a little bit. As for editing pages, please use the Show preview button before saving changes so you do not have to go back and edit a page multiple times. Thank you. Frozen Fennec 05:33, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

Hulk

Sorry, didn't see your edit summary because RecentChanges was showing both of your edits combined. I believe the mention on Palafin's page is acceptable because it's not actually saying it's based on Superman, just pointing out a connection between its evolution level and the year Superman debuted. -Minibug (talk) 17:17, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

Edit Warring

If another user or admin reverts your edit, regardless of thoughts, you should take the discussion to the talk page. Reverting that user / admin's edits will count as edit warring and you can be blocked for it if you continue to decide reverting their edits. When edits are reverted, always take it to the talk page to talk about it first as reverting each other's edits will lead to nothing productive happening for either editor. I do apologize if my wording seems a bit harsh, woke up a bit ago. Double checking things, can see where the anger is coming from, but regardless, if edits are being undone, should take it to the talk page for sure to talk things out with other users, talking things out will definitely help out everyone instead of becoming frustrated over edits being undone over and over again. Apologies again if I sounded mean-spirited above, did not intend to come off that way. Frozen Fennec 16:18, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

Indefinite block

I understand you may have been frustrated, but by no means is it acceptable for any user to start making dozens of edits denigrating other users or removing content out of spite, much less both. For your willful code of conduct violations and vandalism, you are blocked indefinitely. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:30, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
