The Halloween 2023 — Double Candy Research event was held between October 30 and November 5, 2023. The event location was limited to Greengrass Isle and it introduced three Pokémon to the game, Pikachu (Halloween), Shuppet, and Banette. On October 30 when the Halloween event and the Good Sleep Day event overlapped, effects from both events were applied.

During the event a remix of the Lavender Town theme from the main series games played on Greengrass Island and the tent was covered in lights with pumpkins adorning the campsite, including some in Pikachu and Poké Ball shapes.

Three new Pokémon with nine new sleep styles are featured. Pikachu with a Halloween hat was a temporary addition exclusive to Greengrass Isle, and Shuppet and Banette were permanent additions to Greengrass Isle and Taupe Hollow.
