Overworld encounters

I think this page should be renamed "Overworld encounters". Symbol encounters sounds like the red exclamation point encounters. - unsigned comment from Alolan Ninetales (talk • contribs)

That's certainly a fair comment about the clarity of the current page title. Although it's worth noting that "symbol encounter" if the official name of that method. --SnorlaxMonster 01:29, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Of course, it's also a name that they've only used once, "translated" from a word that's just an English loan word. IMHO they just didn't put a whole lot of effort into this one.

IMO, this page itself is "fine" at this title for the time being. But they have only used it once (and it's not a common—or readily comprehensible—term, meaning no one has any familiarity with it), so if it needs to be linked to on other pages, it should probably either be explained at the same time, or, like where we use it for subsections of Pokemon encounters, I've linked it as visible encounter instead.
