I have a handful of issues with this page, and I'm not sure exactly the best way to resolve them, so I figured I'd bring them up here and see if anyone has any suggestions.

Issue 1 - The title

The page is called "Legendary event" because that's what they were originally called; however, legendary events were retired and replaced with Legendary Adventures almost two years ago now. It's a little awkward to have to link to the legendary event page every time I'm writing something about Legendary Adventures, and more importantly, a player who isn't familiar with legendary events is going to look for Legendary Adventures, and they're not going to be able to find it immediately. On the other hand, an event type not happening anymore doesn't mean the page is suddenly meaningless - training event is still a valuable page - so maybe it's good to have this page still focused on the event aspect.

Issue 2 - The size

This page is already pretty long, and once I get around to adding the event missions, it'll be even longer. Unlike the PML Arc and Villain Arc pages, where each chapter tells a story in a (mostly) linear sequence, legendary event stories are all standalone, and can be played through in any order. So it doesn't seem like there's much benefit to having info about all the events in one article. However, they are all part of the same section of the main story, so from that perspective, it'd make sense to keep them all together like the other main story articles.

Issue 3 - The organization

Legendary events changed a lot over the years, and they received a lot of reruns that tweaked the format in different ways. The differences in rewards from the different runs and Legendary Adventures make the battle tables a bit messy - especially for Lurking Shadow, which had 5 different reruns on top of the Legendary Adventures version. The tables are full of tooltips explaining which battles were included in which runs, which means mobile users are completely lost (not that the battle tables as a whole are very comprehensible on mobile, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms) and desktop users have to hover between four different tooltips to figure out which battles were included during the run they're curious about. Not to mention the fact that some sections have five or six prize box pools + shops, which makes the table of contents harder to follow.

So, yeah... Thoughts on how to solve any of these? Storm Aurora (talk) 22:28, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

I've been meaning to say this but I think you should rename "Legendary event" to "Legendary Adventures" especially because "Legendary events" no longer exist anymore. I wouldn't mind going through the Masters pages that mention the "Legendary events" and relinking them to "Legendary Adventures" if you decide to change the name. I don't know that I want to get rid of "Legendary event" entirely, as I think it's important to acknowledge that the events did happen; it'd be nice to have a list of all the legendary events and when they ran. Perhaps "legendary event" can be restructured to a table format like some story event or villain event, while a new "Legendary Adventures" article can exist akin to our page for the Villain Arc that specifically showcases all the battles and area info for the permanent versions. In that case, we could move "Legendary event/Script" to "Legendary Adventures/Script", and each individual legendary event page would have a script section that links to the corresponding section on the Legendary Adventures/Script page. Page split suggestion

I think this page would benefit from splitting each event into its own page, similar to the splits that were done for the villain event article. There's definitely enough info to justify pages for each event. --Boblers (talk) 09:07, 27 August 2023 (UTC)

Yeah, I definitely agree; it's been on my radar for a while. I assume we'd want to include the scripts (from Legendary event/Script) on each page as well, like we did with story events? Storm Aurora (talk) 15:57, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
Yes definitely. Landfish7 19:16, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
I'll try putting together a draft of what a split page could look like soon. Storm Aurora (talk) 05:32, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
So "soon" was maybe a bit optimistic... I got bogged down with anniversary + other housekeeping stuff, so I'm only now getting around to that draft. It's still in a really rough state at the moment - I've mostly just reorganized the information that's already on this page - but it should give you an idea of how I'm planning to address the organization issue that I mentioned in the section above. I'll work on adding more stuff later. Storm Aurora (talk) 05:32, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
Ok, I've whipped up some more drafts to show how I propose this split go down. We'll have one page for Legendary Adventures, which explains everything you need to know about the stories as they're presented in Legendary Adventures. We'll have new pages for each story that exclusively cover the information about all the event runs (here's a wip of the Lurking Shadow page as an example); the plot will be duplicated across pages, but that's not a big deal. Lastly, we'll have a Legendary event page that has a table like the ones on story event and solo event. Any feedback about the drafts, thoughts about splitting it up like this, etc.? Storm Aurora (talk) 04:20, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
These look great! I support going with this approach. --Boblers (talk) 06:25, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
Agreed. Landfish7 21:38, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

(resetting indent) I'm working on all the legendary event pages in my userspace right now to work out the kinks in the page structure, formatting, event descriptions, and the like. I've finished the pages for The Dragon That Rules the Sky and Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings to a point where I'm satisfied with them, so now I'd like to have other people read over them and make sure everything looks good and makes sense. I recommend taking a look at both, as their battles, missions, prize box, and shop sections are structured a little differently because of how much they changed or didn't change between runs. Storm Aurora (talk) 05:34, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

My only suggestion for those pages you are working on, is to put the plot first and then put the information on the individual runs after. As I think most people who are probably reading these pages, want to know the plot of the event first before learning any other information. Just a suggestion though. TBR2001 (talk) 08:02, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
Hmm, I get what you mean, but that would be inconsistent with all the other event pages... Plus, that's kind of impossible to do with Howling Shield of Eternity, since that one only ran once and as such includes all the run information in the intro. Storm Aurora (talk) 16:54, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
Status update: the pages for all the individual legendary events are done, and the main legendary event page is just about done - it just needs a summary of how legendary events changed over time. I'm working on adding area info and medals to the Legendary Adventures page. I'm torn on what to do with the color scheme for the Legendary Adventures page: currently I'm using the corresponding region color for each section, but maybe we should use the orange and gold scheme that's standard for Masters stuff, or we could use the type colors like the individual legendary event pages use... Anyone have any opinions on the matter? (Or anything else related to this split) Storm Aurora (talk) 19:55, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Well from what I can tell how the other event pages are usually laid out, I think using the region color or type color of the main Legendary would be better. Although I would prefer using the color that is used for the Legendary Adventures from the actual game (Blue), but considering that we don't even use the Villian Arc color (Purple) for it's own page, I'm fine with using the region color or type color. Pick which one you think looks nicer. TBR2001 (talk) 07:03, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
After playing around with it, I thought it looked strange for the color of the tables to change in every section, so I decided to make them all use the typical Masters color scheme (which also makes the page consistent with the other pages for main story chapters). The individual event pages still use type colors though. I've also finished the legendary event and Legendary Adventures pages, so I think this split is just about ready to go!
